    Each construction trade has its own unique set of alignment tasks. These instructions describe only the basic alignment attributes of the PLS5: plumb, level and square.

    PLUMB MARKS

    To establish a plumb mark, simply place the #5 down indicator beam over the mark to be transposed, see Fig. 4. The primary beam #4 above is exactly plumb within specification. You can shoot plumb marks down and up cantilevered over the edge of a building, shaft opening, see Fig. 5, and floor track, see Fig. 6.
